POLYURETHANE QUESTIONS

SHOULD YOU TRY SENECA'S CUSTOM-MOLDED POLYURETHANE?

Based on the advantages polyurethane has over metal, rubber, or plastics, here are some questions you should ask yourself.

FOR REPLACING METAL COMPONENTS:

1) Is oxidation a problem?
2) Do I have metal pieces or welds that are wearing out prematurely?
3) Do I need to reduce the noise in my facility?
4) Do I need the part to be more flexible?
5) Do I need a component that is non-conductive or non-sparking?
6) Is weight of the part an issue?

TO SUBSTITUTE FOR PLASTICS PARTS:

1) Are your pieces too brittle and chipping apart?
2) Do you need a more resilient piece?
3) Do the plastic parts wear or grind down?
4) Do you need a part that operates in a broader temperature range?

TO REPLACE RUBBER PARTS:

1) Do your rubber pieces need better abrasion and/or cut and tear resistance?
2) Do the parts need to be oil resistant?
3) Is colorability an issue?
4) Are your parts showing signs of weathering or effects from exposure to ozone?
5) Would you benefit from a harder, yet still flexible part?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then polyurethane may be the material for your solution. Whether you are upgrading your finished product, designing a new machine for production, or maintaining existing parts, give Seneca Products a try.
